 Have you heard the wedding tune in the church when the bride's father walked his daughter along the aisle, it will always start with... ten ten ten ten...ten ten ten ten..(and the music goes on and on..)Same happens for us except our version is a bit shorter. We only have 'ten ten' which is equivalent to 10-10 or 1010. This is a special lucky number that marked our wedding date and today is our 4th wedding anniversary. I was chatting with a good friend of mine in Sydney this morning. She told me that it has been close to 10 years that she has never celebrated Mother's Day with her loving mommy though they do meet for annual holiday and other festival occasion. Her mommy is staying in Christmas Island. Well, she would ring her mummy tomorrow to wish her 'Happy Mother's Day'. I told her 'Distance is only a number; the most significant ingredient is the thought'.

 Thanks to the marketing force, today’s Mother’s Day is much more commercialized than before. Prices of carnations, cakes and gifts are shooting rockets high. Packages of Mother’s Day’s dinner promotion are also advertised everywhere. Is Mother’s Day is just another day for us to have dinner together? I believe we realize how much our mother means to us. Ever think of the evolution of becoming a MOTHER? |
