 As you look at a good photograph, it will have elements that will sort of lead your vision to explore and move into the subject of the photo. The elements are lines either implied or direct, visibile or invisible that guides the eyes to each element of the composition and guide you to 'explore' the photography.  Have you ever thought of why photographs and pictures are placed in a frame for display. Aside from art-decor, one of the main function of a frame is to focus the viewer's attention onto the photograph. However, usage of frames are not restricted to finished and printed photos.
