One of the top attractions in Cameron Highlands is Brinchang Night Market or what the local called 'Pasar Malam'. This night market only operates on the weekends (Friday and Saturday nights) but during Malaysian school holidays, it operates every night starting from 6:00 pm until 11:00 pm. The Night Market cover relatively a size of at least half a football field, situated opposite Brinchang Police Station by the road side. This place is really happening! What a great feeling! We finally arrived in Brinchang, one of most popular townships in Cameron Highlands. Commercial areas of Brinchang town concentrates along the main road and another 2 parallel inner roads. Heavy traffic on the main road is expected especially on the school holiday or weekend. For your information, there is no R&R (rest and relax) stop along the Second East-West Highway until nearby the junction to Kampung Raja where there are a few souvenirs shop and rest stop. But I was not keen to 'settle' until we saw Cameron Valley Tea House. I guess I was not that desperate else I should take whatever comes first, right? Cameron Valley Tea House was on our right h… |

Cameron Highlands is a popular tourist destination in Pahang, Malaysia. Due to its high altitude advantage above 5000 feet or 1500 meters from sea level, Cameron Highlands enjoys cooler climate at around 25 degree Celsius, obviously a pleasant place to unwind for a short weekend gateaway! The best way to get there (or the only way as far as I know) is by road as the scenery heading up the highland is spectacular. We took this chance to explore the recent completed route from Simpang Pulai to Cam… |
