 When I was small, Taiping Lake Gardens or known locally as Taman Tasik Taiping was to be one of my favorite parks in Malaysia. My dad loves this green carpet that invited plenty of bamboos and charming raintrees to live there. Being one of the parks we visited often, obviously Taiping Lake Gardens was always being praised for its evergreen beauty. True. This time, it was my turn.  Located in the main artery of Penang's capital - George Town, 1st Avenue was opened to public end of last year (2010). We however had just found an afternoon to take a peek.  Nestled against the mountains and hemmed in by the sea in between Keelung and Jinshan, there is a fishing village called Yehliu (野柳). The name Yehliu originated from Spanish words 'Puntos Diablos' which means 'Devil's Cape' and thus phonetically, it is pronounced as 'Yehliu'.  If you are relying on public transport to visit the main attractions of Yangmingshan National Park (NP) in Taiwan, expect to travel on foot more than fairly bit. Claimed by many as a must-see attraction, Zhuzihu (竹子湖) was our last destination before bidding farewell to Yangmingshan.
