KL Sri Petaling Ahimsa Restaurant | Vegetarian Steamboat

Tired of being omnivore or carnivore, we opted for vegetarian steamboat at Ahimsa Restaurant in Endah Parade (Carrefour) Mall Sri Petaling three weekends ago. Apart of opting for a change, vegetarian meals are considered healthier by many and being pratised vastly nowadays.
Ahimsa - Going vegetarian
Although I have been to this mall many times, it had never cross my mind that there are in fact a couple of vegetarian restaurants here. There is always 'first time'!
Two types of soups - Tomyam and Chinese Herbal
To my surprise the facade and interior of Ahimsa is unlike the other vegetarian restaurants which I may call the outlook is rather 'boring'. Well decorated with yellow down lights and tiles flooring, each table is equipped with a power plug to accommodate electrical stove for steamboat pot.

We picked a nice spot along the glass window overlooking the main road. We decided to go for 'Prosperity Steamboat' set (RM36.90) which could accomodate for 2-4 pax. For this set, we were offered two choices of soup; which we picked 'Tomyam' and Chinese Herbal Soup. The Chinese Herbal Soup turned out to be similar like the taste of 'Bak Kut Teh' soup.

Besides steamboat, Ahimsa also offers the sit down dinner with various dishes and rice. There are plenty of choices as stated in their menu. Alternatively, they also serve individual meal like a single plate of fried noodle/rice.
We didn't feel like we are in a vegetarian restaurant
What's in the pot?
In addition to steamboat set, we also ordered for fish fish rice with cashew nut (RM6.50). For drinks, we opted for honey lemon juice and apple juice which cost us RM3.90 each.

In summary, we spent about RM 18 each (@RM53.76 for 3 pax) for a healthy dinner meal.
