Menara Taming Sari design is inspired by Kris Taming Sari
Melaka or previously known as Malacca is a melting pot for Malaysia with rich history dated back more than five centuries ago as a renowned trading port and attracted the colonization of Portuguese, Dutch and British. The history, architecture, food and cultural beauty attracts a huge number of local tourists that contributed to 80% of total visitors between January to August 2008. Most Singaporean and local tourists keep coming back to visit Melaka partly due to locality convenience. However, innovation and versatility in Melaka tourism industry also contribute to this loyalty trend. It offers simply more than historical charm.

If my memory serves correctly, I have been visiting Melaka at least 3 three times in the last 5 years. Each time I was there, Melaka never fail to surprise me. Similarly happen during the recent trip to Melaka, we were presented with a newly open Menara Taming Sari of 110m viewing tower. This tower obviously offers a breathtaking 360 degree panoramic view to take away for Christmas gift.

Menara Taming Sari ('Menara' means Tower in Malay language) was built under Swiss technology and open to public since April 2008 is the first tower in Malaysia with a full revolving structure. This air-conditioned circular observation deck can take 66 people at any one time. Located at Merdeka Road (Jalan Merdeka) in the down town of Bandar Hilir Melaka, the outstanding height of Menara Taming Sari made it easy to locate even from afar.

As the observation deck moves higher, one can witness the spectacular bird-eye view of Bandar Hilir especially the core zone of UNESCO Heritage Sites like St Paul's Hill, Dutch Square, Porta De Santiago (A' Famosa), Cultural Museum as well as Melaka Straits, Eye On Malaysia, State Mosque and Melaka Island. Truly a fabulous experience!
