Every time I think of sunflower, it somehow gives me a feeling of warmth, vibrant and energy. By nature, sunflower appears bright in orange color which l later found it is the happiest of flowers. Orange color symbolizes energy, enthusiasm, and warmth, an arrangement of blooming sunflowers conveys confidence and satisfaction for life with loyalty and longevity.
According to Teleflora, the color of yellow denotes the color of friendship that evokes the feeling of joy and happiness.
In Chinese feng shui, bamboo stalk is valued as a perfect symbol for the element of wood that brings good fortune in life. The red ribbon which represents the element of fire is usually tied to ignite the desired energy.
Made of the above, Passion for Life is designed special for our good friend to convey abundance of happiness, adoration and all the beautiful gifts in life.
Floral Material
From top left (clockwise): Curly tea leaves as foliages, A cute little puppy, Sunflower and Yellow carnation.
Also do not forget the bamboo stalks and some white chrysanthemums as secondary flowers and fillers in this arrangement.
Design concept
Inspired by Twin Style concept, Passion for Life is composed using two bloom sunflowers placed at different height on each oasis. Carnations are later composed in a triangle shape at both sides of the oasis. Lucky bamboo stalk is made standing vertically on each oasis. Two stalks are positioned horizontally to bridge the vertical ones and creating a lovely arch. At the same time, creating a tiny corner for the little puppy to say 'Happy Birthday' to our friend!
Getting started:
1. Get a long basket and wrap it with gift plastic material.
2. Chop two oasis to a required size and place on left and right.
3. Begin by inserting the vertical bamboo stalks (slightly diagonal) to gauge the height of the desired arrangement. Then, place the horizontal stalks using a tiny wire. It is easier to handle if these bamboo stalks are tied first before inserting into the oasis.
4. Then, place the little puppy to cling on the horizontal bamboo stalk.
4. Move on to insert the sunflowers at focal point of different height in the same wave of the bamboo's height.
5. Add in the carnations in triangle shape on each oasis at each side.
6. Continue by inserting the curly tea leaves to cover the oasis.
7. Then, add in the secondary flowers - the white chrysanthemums.
8. Last but not least, tie a few red ribbons to beautify the arrangement and ignite the wood element to pave the path towards the desired fortune in life!
