In this floral arrangement design, I picked Dancing Lady orchids (scientifically called Oncidium Gower Ramsey) as primary flower since it is one of my Significant Other's favorite flowers. Rule of the Thirds DiagramOne of the most important tools to carry around during your travels must be your trusty little (or large) camera. The image of a tourist totting his or her camera round the neck comes to mind. And it is important to capture images from your travels such that when you regale with the tales of your exploits on your return home, these photographs will be a testament of the grandeur, beauty and the exoticness of the places that you trot upon. Off course it would have been better if your photos can a…

Plenty of add-on to choose'Bak Kut Teh', is literally translated as Pork Ribs Tea. But I think it is more meaningful to be called Pork Ribs Herbal Soup to detail this local specialty. Bak Kut Teh or mouth-watering Chinese soup is made from pork ribs which are simmered in a collection of Chinese herbs for several hours.  It is also served with white rice or yam rice, 'yu cha kui' (fried dough stick), fresh raw garlic and  oystered 'Yau Mak' (lettuce). This is a popular dish among South East Asian Chinese but surprisingly,…

Written by Grace

Tongue outAfter being told that Mamma Mia is more like a musical show than just the movie, I decided to drag my hubby along to the theatre. After all, both of us are ABBA fan. Well, although we missed the first 10 minutes of this movie, we could sense the fun and high spirit in the beginning of the movie itself.  No doubt it is the songs that bring out the character of the movie, but the fun part is really about 'seeing' the songs come alive . If you could agree with me, it is the songs and the acting tha…

Table for TwoAs I mentioned in my earlier installment, no matter how hard I pestered my Significant Other (SO), he was still not going to reveal 'the' place we were going to dine on our Anniversary night. So last night was 'D' day and he drove steadily along Tanjung Bungah Road, and I was thinking we could be heading to Batu Ferringghi for dinner. Suddenly, he made a turn into Hillside area, and my suspicion was Ingolf - The German Restaurant. Yeah, it must be Ingolf! Only the moment he switched off the car …
