Our exploration to the latest city mall in George Town landed us at Master Choo Kitchen. Being one of the restaurants residing at level 3 of 1st Avenue Mall, the name Master Choo Kitchen fancied us in the first place. Sounds fresh and authoritative, we then took a step closer to check out their menu.
Offering an array of tarts, dimsum dishes besides the Asian a-la-carte picks such as rice, noodles and vermicelli, Master Choo Kitchen's menu appears similar to Dragon-i and Wong Kok restaurants.
As we arrived during peak lunch hours, it was full house. I guess people or Penangites generally love this eatery. Pricing is reasonable, in fact lower compares to Dragon-i while food variety, almost the same. Interior is designed far more superior than the plain Wong Kok, decorated with lanterns and dim lighting.
Holding two hungry stomach, we picked more than a handful of dishes to try. Ice blended peanut chocolate (RM6.90) and winter melon with sea coconut (RM5.00) were our picks for beverages.
Ipoh white coffee egg tart (bottom left) RM1.60
I'd say it a brilliant food innovation. We like it.
The dough or skin is too thick, average.

Perfectly fried, hard to get this lovely dishes in Penang. We love this the most of all.

Overall, Master Choo is a cozy corner, serving a combination of people's favorite. I would love to go back often though there is nothing extraordinary to shout about.
