Durian or fondly known as the king of all fruits in South East Asia, is a seasonal fruit. And if you are a durian lover, grab them now while it still lasts.
Durian - The king of all fruits!
Local folks say that Balik Pulau has the most varieties in term of durian's taste and texture. For Penangites who love to savor this lovely fruit and enjoy the scenic south-west of the isle at the same time, check it out at Anjung Indah. It is an oasis for public recreation, sits by Jalan Tun Sardon along the road heading to Balik Pulau township. Also featuring there now are other local fruits feasting e.g. mangoesteen and rambutan. White canopy shades equipped with tables and chairs are prepared for the fruits' fans too.

Operated by the local farmers, a group of 4-5 decent durians cost only RM20! That's for the common durians. The branded durians such as Ang Heah and D24 are also served but of course at higher priceLaughing.
Drooling...for durian lovers
According to the friendly 'pakcik' (literally means uncle. Malaysians are loving and caring folks, we treat our neighbors like our family, so we often address an elderly male as pakcik), they will be there daily until Ramadhan starts.
