If you follow my earlier installment, you'd have guess what we did last Thanksgiving! Yup, we were in Big Bend Country of Texas exploring the wilderness! The road to the west is truly stunning. Sometimes even a relatively good camera is unable to capture the spectacular landscape. I guess the picturesque nature in the world must be seen by one's eyes and not through the camera lenses.
Exit 209 on IH-10 took us to Balmorhea

The season was autumn so it did make us our trip a bonus with colorful foliage on trees. We passed Balmorhea about half past two in the afternoon but we did not make any stop. Most parts of the road is a two-lane road of two-way traffic. It is also a narrow winding road with sharp curves and various gradient. Guess it is safer not to pull aside.
How we wish we had bikes with us to Big Bend!
All the following photographs captured along Texas State Highway 17 between Balmorhea and Fort Davis was from our sedan. Some pictures are not sharp as they were products of promptly pointed and shot from our moving vehicle.
